Dr. Aaron Patel has practiced primary eye care optometry for over twenty years. He has been an optometrist in Edmonton, St. Albert and Sherwood Park since 2006 and previously practiced in Portland, Oregon and Washington, D.C. He graduated from the University of Alberta with a Bachelor of Science in 1997 and Pacific University College of Optometry with distinction in 2002. Dr. Patel has practiced in several different optometry clinics prior to opening the Alberta Eye Health Clinic in 2006. These included a Lasik centre, a paediatric eye care clinic and a hospital setting. Dr. Patel is very happy to see new patients with any type of eye health or vision concerns and has a special interest in helping people suffering with dry eyes. Dr. Patel is a past president of the Alberta Association of Optometrists and has served on the Canadian Association of Optometrists Board. Dr. Patel enjoys taking yearly humanitarian visits to provide eye care in less fortunate countries. Dr. Clement Chan graduated from the University of Alberta with a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology and completed his Doctor of Optometry degree at the Interamerican University of Puerto Rico in 2012. He completed externships with the Los Angeles Dodgers and US Veteran Affairs, with a focus on traumatic brain injuries, before returning home to clinical practice in Edmonton. His professional interests include dry eye management and managing ocular disease, and he is able to provide examinations in English and Cantonese. Dr. Chan takes great care to listen and help his patients develop a better understanding of their own ocular and overall health. Outside of the clinic, he can be found learning new yoga poses, cycling through Edmonton's river valley, and exploring his creative side with his current craft - quilting!
